About
The project aimed at decentralizing the K-9 Unit activities within the country by establishing sub-units at the border crossing points. The OSCE-supported pilot project was implemented in co-operation with the Interior Ministry, the OSCE Mission to Serbia, US Export Control and Border Security (EXBS) and Frontex to further enhance the skills of police officers in their efforts to fight trans-national threats and organized crime with a special focus on human trafficking, drug and weapon smuggling.
During the pilot project implementation, a two- month dog training for detection of weapons and drug was also delivered.
