representatives and civil society activists will take part in a three-day workshop on gender and social inclusion, launched in Ohrid today.

The workshop, organized by the EuroBalkan Institute and the OSCE Spillover Monitor Mission to Skopje, was designed to increase the knowledge and skills of civil society representatives working with minority groups, women and young people.

"Participants will be provided with a theoretical framework and practical skills to support their work in the field of gender and social inclusion. They also have an opportunity to foster co-operation and communication between practitioners in the country," said Bernard Segarra, Head of the OSCE Mission's Confidence-Building Department.

Lectures will be delivered by Associate Professor Rubin Zemon from the Euro-Balkan Institute. He will be assisted by two graduate students, who received scholarships from the OSCE Mission.

"Enabling the students to share their newly acquired knowledge with practitioners working on minority issues is very important for completing their educational process," said Zemon.
