Research on online and offline incidents of violence against young women and girls in public life in North Macedonia

This report presents the findings of the research on gender-based violence and harassment against young women and girls aged 18 to 29 in North Macedonia, conducted in 2025 with the support of the OSCE Mission to Skopje and in cooperation with the Office of the President of the Republic of North Macedonia.

The aim of the research is to identify the prevalence, nature, and perception of different forms of gender-based violence, as well as the effectiveness and accessibility of institutions responsible for the protection and support of survivors of gender-based violence. In addition, the research examines online forms of violence, which pose an increasingly significant challenge in the context of society’s digital transformation.
